Free and subsidised therapy, early intervention and rehabilitation for children with disabilities at the WECY Community Therapy Centre.
Many children with disabilities in Nairobi never receive the therapy they need, because the nearest centre is too far, too expensive or too crowded. This programme brings therapy, rehabilitation and early intervention into the community.
At the WECY Community Therapy Centre we provide occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, and child development support. Parents and caregivers are involved in every session, so that progress continues at home.
The programme also screens young children for developmental delays, so that families can act early rather than lose critical years.
