Campaign Description
Economic independence is the surest protection against the vulnerabilities that vulnerability invites.
WECY's Women & Youth Livelihood Programme equips women, single mothers, teenage mothers, survivors of gender-based violence and young people with disabilities to earn an income of their own. Participants move through a structured pathway: skills training, business mentorship, financial literacy, market linkage, and continued peer support after graduation.

A caregiver cannot provide sustainable care without economic resilience. This programme is where WECY closes that gap — so that a mother caring for a child with a disability can also build a future for herself.
Fund the training, the tools and the mentorship that turn skills into income.
Women, single and teenage mothers, survivors of gender-based violence, and young people with disabilities, prioritising those in greatest need in Nairobi.
Participants receive mentorship, business support and a start-up kit, and join an alumni network that continues to provide peer support and market linkage.
Yes. WECY integrates counselling and peer support because economic recovery and emotional wellbeing cannot be separated.
