Campaign Description
Too many children with disabilities in Kenya leave school because the classroom was never designed with them in mind.
WECY's Inclusive Education & Mentorship Programme keeps children learning and equips the adults around them. The programme funds learning materials in accessible formats, school mentorship, teacher sensitisation on inclusive practice, and life skills sessions that build confidence alongside curriculum.
Critically, it also trains parents and caregivers. A child who receives support at school and none at home makes limited progress; a child supported in both settings does not fall behind.

Education is the single strongest lever on long-term independence. This programme is how WECY ensures that inclusion is not a word on a policy document, but a daily reality in the classroom.
Help a child stay in school — and help their family help them get further.
Through partnership agreements, scheduled mentorship visits, teacher sensitisation and agreed referral pathways, with progress reviewed each term.
