Campaign Description
An accessible therapy facility and day-care centre for children with disabilities in Nairobi.
Every year, families of children with cerebral palsy, autism, intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome and other developmental challenges are turned away from therapy. The nearest centre is too far to travel, too expensive to afford, or too crowded to serve them.
WECY plans to change that. This campaign funds the establishment and equipping of the WECY Community Therapy Centre — a facility delivering occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, hydrotherapy and sensory integration, alongside a day-care programme that gives families a safe place to learn while their children are in session.

WECY was established in 2016 and has been fully operational since 2024. We are committed to transparent reporting: every contribution is accounted for, and progress against this goal is published as the campaign runs.

Children with neurodevelopmental and other disabilities in and around Nairobi, together with their parents and caregivers, who currently face long travel distances and high costs for therapy.

WECY reports against this goal throughout the campaign, and funds are used only for therapy services, equipment and day-care operations as described above.
